Two Belgians Swimming
Summer 2007

I am thrilled that my Belgians are finally enjoying the pool. Full credit to Spirit the Fearless Wonder, who, with the help of the clicker, learned to get in the pool in just a few short sessions. Once she was in the water she immediately set about removing all the toys from the pool. Paden was still a bit afraid of the pool even after providing him with a really cool life jacket last year (didn't think to use the clicker!). After a few clicker sessions and the proper inducement of a super cool tug toy, Paden entered the pool in style. It turns out his biggest fear was using the second step (go figure). As you will see on the following pages, he found a very malinois solution to the problem by completely eliminating the need for the second step. Spirit soon developed her own skills to show that mal gals could enter the pool with style too with the added bonus of beating her brother to the toys.
